Young people (and teachers) in grades 6-12 interested in making their voices heard this spring are invited to join us for this series of interactive events designed to give young people the tools and strategies to promote, protect and expand their community members’ right and ability to vote in the 2022 elections. All events will be virtual and run from 6:00-8:00pm ET / 5:00-7:00pm CT / 3:00-5:00 PT.
Bonus: Youth in grades 6-12 who attend and participate in at least three events in this series (and are among the first 200 youth to complete a follow up form/evaluation) will receive a $40 Amazon e-giftcard!
Election 2022 Kickoff Event – Thursday, February 17th
In this interactive event, young people from all over the country will connect and converse with their peers about the communities they belong to, the issues they care most about, why people in their communities currently do or do not vote – and why that matters / what can be done about it.

Virtual Campaign Fair – Thursday, March 3rd
Young people who attend this event will meet the people working to make sure their communities’ right to vote is a reality. Participants will get the chance to meet voting rights organizers from around the country, learn what it’s like to work for one of these campaigns, and gain strategies to start planning what action YOU want to take in your own community.

Virtual Phone Bank – Thursday, March 17th
This event is an opportunity for young people to get involved in voter mobilization together! Youth will be trained in how to effectively phone bank, and then get to practice those new skills with support from their peers and Mikva staff as they make calls from home to make sure community members understand how, when, where, and WHY it is so important for them to vote in their next election.
