Kaitlyn was born and raised in Rockford, IL, moving to Chicago in 2007 to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago.  In 2010 she graduated with a BA in Psychology.  Kaitlyn began her professional career in the mortgage industry, helping people across the country become homeowners.  After 11 years, she made the decision to follow her passion and began working with diverse learners in Chicago Public Schools.  Kaitlyn’s time at THE Collins Academy afforded her the opportunity to see the strength of youth voices and just how essential they are to building a better future.  In 2023 Kaitlyn joined the Mikva Challenge team as the EA for Verneé Green.
