The National Youth Summit will return to Washington, D.C. May 18-20, 2025.
At Mikva Challenge, we believe young people’s voices and participation are essential to a thriving democracy.
To protect, strengthen, and improve our democracy, we must invest in civic education and provide opportunities for young people to bring their unique perspectives, expertise, and ideas to be heard by key decision-makers. The Youth Summit will unite 150 young people from across the United States, along with educators, policymakers, researchers and youth development leaders to listen, learn from and engage with each other over three days.
The focus of the National Youth Issue Summit will be to create civic action task forces to address the critical areas facing the youth, which include but are not limited to the following: education, environment, equity, mental health, community safety, etc. This unique student-focused event allows participants to meet under the guidance of trained Mikva Challenge staff to identify, research, analyze and formulate solutions to problems impacting them and their communities.
