Our DC benefit celebrates and supports the impact of our youth leaders, and their adult champions, in building a more just and equitable democracy! All proceeds from the event will be invested in our DC work, which has made a citywide impact through in school and out of school leadership programming.

This year’s event will pay tribute to the legacy of Sandy Horwitt. A founder of Mikva Challenge, Sandy was a lifelong advocate for young people’s ability to shape our democracy, and he knew the power of teachers and educators to inspire a lifetime commitment to civic action and leadership. We are also excited to showcase the students and partner teachers who continue to carry his incredible legacy forward.
