Mikva Challenge DC Virtual Spring Benefit 2021 | Thursday, June 3, 2021
5:30 – 7:00pm EDT
The Mikva DC Spring Benefit brings together supporters, participants, and allies of Mikva DC for an evening filled with inspiration, connection, and advocacy. Proceeds from the event support Mikva DC’s mission to inspire and equip DC youth to become the next generation of civic leaders. Through various programs, youth develop their critical thinking, public speaking, and advocacy skills to positively change their communities and the world. Each year, Mikva DC reaches more than 1,300 local DC youth at 35 schools across the city.
This year, we are honoring President Kenneth Rigmaiden of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades for his work to build a more just, equitable, and inclusive democracy. In addition to honoring President Rigmaiden, we will be giving out our Inspiring Educator Award to Zachary Larson and Duane Thomas from Ballou Senior High School for their incredible dedication to providing hands-on civic engagement education for their students.
We hope you will join us virtually and support our work to empower DC youth as the next generation of civic leaders and transform communities!
