At Mikva Challenge, we believe in the power of student voice. We understand that when students are empowered to speak up and take action, real change happens. That’s why we’re bringing together a dynamic group of educators and youth from across the country to share best practices and inspire one another.
We invite you to join us at the “United for Change” Summer Conference, happening at Chicago’s Whitney M. Young High School on July 10-11, 2024.
Our conference provides a unique opportunity to learn from experienced educators who have successfully integrated civic engagement and student voice into their classrooms. Attendees will have the opportunity to discover innovative teaching methods, exchange ideas, and connect with like-minded educators who are passionate about empowering their students.
In keeping with our goal of empowering youth, those in attendance will learn how to amplify student voice, foster leadership skills, and create a culture of civic engagement within your classroom.
Conference participants will also have the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at Project Soapbox, a powerful tool for empowering students to speak out about issues that matter to them. During the conference, you’ll gain insight into how to implement Project Soapbox in your classrooms, helping your students build confidence, critical thinking skills, and a sense of civic responsibility.
