I had the privilege of working with Judge Mikva while he was a mediator/arbitrator at JAMS. Like so many others who interacted with him, I was impressed and inspired by his humility, intelligence, kindness, and class. I couldn’t ever call him by his first name like he always encouraged us to do so – we simply had too much respect for him.
I’m now in public service and will continue to be positively impacted by his legacy.
