Jackie has spent her life activating people and mobilizing resources to create a more equitable world. Growing up in a prosperous neighborhood in Chicago, she was aware from a young age that the opportunities available to her were out of reach for too many others. Her later exposure as an attorney to the complexities of the criminal legal system set her on a lifelong trajectory to challenge the status quo and be a voice for equity. She believes there is a need for more trust-based, nimble models of philanthropy.
Professionally, Jackie is the founder of Abloom Ventures, a company that supports the development of leaders and teams in high-growth, dynamic environments. Jackie has held leadership roles at the Aspen Institute and the University of Chicago. She has also advised multiple start-ups and philanthropic entities. After law school, Jackie served for two years as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Mary L. Mikva.
